About this kit
The Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausführung C was the definitive early-to-mid war version of Germany's classic armoured half-track personnel carrier, recognisable by its distinctive three-piece, angled front hull plate that improved ballistic protection over the earlier Ausf.A and B. This release specifically represents the riveted-construction sub-variant, built before German industry switched to all-welded hull assembly, giving the model visible rivet lines along the hull joints that mark it out as an earlier production batch.
Dragon's kit captures the Ausf.C's raised, sloped nose section and the crew compartment's internal detail, fittings and bench seating with the slide-mould precision the range is known for, and individual track links reproduce the half-track's distinctive suspension and drive sprocket arrangement accurately. As the standard mount of the Panzergrenadier, the 251/1 was produced in vast numbers and used for everything from troop transport to ammunition resupply.
The box includes decals for Wehrmacht unit markings, photo-etched detail parts, and full instructions covering the specific features of the riveted Ausf.C hull.
