About this kit
The Sd.Kfz. 234/3 was a fire-support version of Germany's excellent eight-wheeled heavy armoured car family, built on the same all-wheel-drive, all-wheel-steer chassis as the famous 234/2 "Puma" but fitted with an open-topped fighting compartment mounting the short 7.5cm KwK 37 L/24 gun. Reconnaissance battalions used the 234/3 to provide their fast-moving armoured car patrols with immediate high-explosive support, allowing them to break contact or suppress opposition without waiting for towed artillery.
Dragon's kit reproduces the 234 series' distinctive sloped, welded hull and independent suspension with the slide-mould detail the range is known for, along with the low, open-topped superstructure and the short-barrelled gun with its distinctive counterweight. The multi-wheel steering gear and hull louvres are rendered with the fine surface detail expected of a Dragon 1/35 armoured car.
Decals for reconnaissance unit markings, crew equipment detail and photo-etched parts for stowage and vision equipment round out the kit alongside clear assembly instructions.
A great companion piece for existing 234-series builds or a display collection tracing the German Panzerspähwagen family's evolution through 1944-45.
