As Allied air power came to dominate the skies over the Western and Eastern Fronts in 1944-45, Germany pressed increasing numbers of self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicles into service, including the Sd.Kfz.251/21. Built on the ubiquitous Ausf.D half-track hull, it carried a "Drilling" triple mount of MG151 autocannons, originally an aircraft weapon adapted for ground use, giving mobile Flak protection to armoured columns on the move against low-flying fighter-bombers.

Dragon's kit combines its accurately slide-moulded Ausf.D hull with a detailed Drilling mount, reproducing the triple gun cradle, ammunition feed and gun shields in fine plastic and photo-etched parts, while individual track links complete the running gear. The open rear fighting compartment is fully detailed so the distinctive weapons fit can be displayed clearly.

Decals for Luftwaffe Flak or Heer unit markings and comprehensive instructions are included in the box.

An eye-catching late-war anti-aircraft half-track, this kit appeals to modellers wanting to represent Germany's desperate efforts to counter Allied air superiority.
