German transport columns relied heavily on medium 3-tonne trucks to move troops, fuel and supplies, and these soft-skinned convoys were a favourite target for Allied fighter-bombers from 1943 onward. To counter the growing air threat, army units frequently improvised or factory-fitted a 2cm FlaK 38 automatic cannon onto the load bed of standard 4x2 trucks, giving convoys and rear-area units their own rapid-fire anti-aircraft defence.

Dragon's kit combines an accurately detailed 3-tonne 4x2 truck cab and chassis with a fully detailed 2cm FlaK 38 gun, complete with its four-legged pedestal mount, ammunition drums and gun shield, positioned on the open load bed exactly as fielded by flak defence units.

Fine engine and chassis detail, opening cab doors and a full complement of stowage items are included, along with decals for period German military markings, making this a strong companion piece for any Wehrmacht transport or rear-echelon diorama.
