The Vollkettenaufklärer 38 was a rare German experimental fully-tracked reconnaissance vehicle built on the Panzer 38(t) chassis, intended to combine the reconnaissance role with genuine firepower by mounting a short-barrelled 7.5cm Kanone 51 L/24 gun, the same low-velocity infantry-support gun family used on early Panzer IVs. Only a handful of prototypes were completed, making this one of the more obscure and unusual German AFVs of the war.
