About this kit
The Third Battle of Kharkov (February-March 1943) was Field Marshal Erich von Manstein's audacious counterstroke after the disaster at Stalingrad, spearheaded by the II SS-Panzer Corps — Leibstandarte, Das Reich and Totenkopf — as they fought their way back into the city street by street against an overextended Soviet advance. It remains one of the most dramatic reversals of fortune on the Eastern Front and a favourite subject for WWII diorama builders.
This boxed set focuses on the infantry side of that fighting, giving modellers a group of German soldiers sculpted in dynamic combat poses — advancing through rubble, engaging at close range and taking cover — rather than a single static figure. Dragon's figure sculpting renders webbing, winter and field equipment, and individual weapons with crisp, separately moulded detail, letting each figure be posed and based individually or grouped into a single street-fighting vignette.
The set includes multiple figures complete with personal weapons and equipment, along with assembly instructions and basing guidance for building a small urban-combat scene.
It's an ideal choice for collectors building a Kharkov 1943 or wider Eastern Front diorama, and pairs naturally with Dragon's contemporary German armour kits from the same period for a complete battle scene.
