The Sturmgeschütz III was the most numerous armoured fighting vehicle produced by Germany during the Second World War, prized for combining a low silhouette with a powerful long-barrelled 7.5cm gun. The Ausf.G was the final and most heavily produced version, and this kit depicts the initial production batches built at Alkett from late 1942, featuring the earlier flat-plate gun mantlet used before the cast "Saukopf" mantlet was introduced on later runs.

Dragon's 1/35 tooling reproduces the StuG III's low, boxy superposed superstructure and hull with crisp weld and casting detail, a slide-moulded main gun barrel, and the early-style commander's cupola and side-skirt mounting details that distinguish this production block from mid and late-war Ausf.G vehicles.
