About this kit
The Sd.Kfz.252 was a lightly armoured, fully-tracked ammunition and supply carrier developed alongside the Sd.Kfz.250 series, intended to keep pace with and resupply German armoured units. Built in only limited numbers before production shifted to the simpler Sd.Kfz.250/6 ammunition carrier, the 252 is distinguished by its sloped, fully enclosed rear compartment and the sharply angled glacis shared with early Sd.Kfz.251 half-tracks.
Dragon's 1/35 kit captures the Sd.Kfz.252's distinctive enclosed superstructure and sloped armour panels using slide-mould parts for crisp corner and rivet detail, together with individual track link components for accurate, sagging track runs. The kit reproduces the vehicle's rear stowage box, driver's visor plates and running gear specific to this rare early-war half-track.
Because genuine Sd.Kfz.252s saw only limited frontline service, this kit fills a niche for collectors seeking a distinctive early-war half-track alongside the more common Sd.Kfz.251 family.
An included decal sheet provides authentic period markings, making this an interesting, less commonly modelled subject for a 1940-41 era German armour collection.
