About this kit
"March to the West" captures German infantry during the Wehrmacht's rapid advance through France and the Low Countries in May-June 1940 - the Blitzkrieg campaign that overran Western Europe in just six weeks. This Dragon figure set depicts a group of marching or resting Landser (infantrymen) in early-war grey uniforms and equipment, evoking the confidence of the German army at the height of its early victories.
Dragon sculpts each figure with individually posed limbs, separate webbing and personal kit, and characterful faces, giving the set a sense of movement and narrative appropriate to a column on the march. Multiple figures are included in the set, allowing a small group scene or vignette to be built straight from the box.
As with Dragon's other figure sets, fine injection moulding keeps flash and seam lines to a minimum, and separate weapon and equipment parts let modellers vary each figure's pose and loadout.
This set is ideal for collectors building an early-war 1940 diorama, and pairs well with Dragon's early-production German armour - such as Panzer II, III and IV kits - to recreate the campaign in miniature.
