About this kit
The Tiger I was Germany's first heavy tank of WWII, feared for its thick armour and devastating 8.8cm KwK 36 gun. Mid-production Tiger Is, built from late 1943, introduced changes such as all-steel road wheels (replacing the earlier rubber-tyred type), a revised commander's cupola and other running production refinements, and were coated at the factory with Zimmerit anti-magnetic paste to defeat Allied magnetic mines.
Dragon's 1/35 Tiger I Mid-Production kit reproduces this transitional variant with finely moulded Zimmerit texture across the hull and turret surfaces, individually detailed all-steel road wheels, and slide-moulded parts that capture the tank's distinctive boxy hull and cupola shapes with crisp fidelity. Detailed turret and stowage parts, along with etched-brass details for items like engine grilles, are typical of Dragon's Tiger range.
A comprehensive decal sheet allows the model to be finished as a specific vehicle from one of the Tiger battalions that fielded mid-production tanks on the Eastern or Western Front.
With authentic Zimmerit texture, accurate wheel and suspension detail, and Dragon's engineering pedigree, this kit is a centrepiece build for any collector of German heavy armour.
