The M7 Priest was an American self-propelled 105mm howitzer, built on the reliable M3 Lee/Grant medium tank chassis and rushed into service in 1942 to give US and Commonwealth armoured divisions mobile, protected artillery support. Its nickname came from British crews, who likened the raised pulpit-style ring mount for the .50 calibre Browning machine gun to a church pulpit. This kit depicts an early production example, before the wartime field modifications that later Priests received.

Dragon's Smart Kit engineering reworks the classic Priest tooling into cleaner, more logically sequenced sub-assemblies without sacrificing the slide-mould crispness the brand is known for. The open-topped fighting compartment, the M2A1 105mm howitzer with recoil cylinder and gun shield detail, and the early-pattern hull stowage and bogie suspension are all faithfully reproduced, giving a busy, authentic superstructure visible even without a crew aboard.

The box includes the full plastic sprues, a decal sheet for period-correct US markings and unit insignia, and a clear step-by-step instruction manual.

A strong choice for WWII US armour collectors and a natural companion piece to Dragon's Sherman range for building a combined-arms artillery battery or diorama scene.
