About this kit
The Sd.Kfz.250 leichter Schutzenpanzerwagen was Germany's light half-tracked armoured personnel carrier, used extensively by reconnaissance and Panzergrenadier units for scouting, command and troop-transport roles. This kit represents the Alte (old-type) hull, identifiable by its multi-panel, more angular superstructure fitted to early production vehicles before the simplified Neu hull was introduced later in the war.
Dragon's kit captures the compact half-track's riveted and welded hull panels, road-wheel and track detail, and the open-topped fighting compartment with fittings for the MG34/42 armament typical of the 250/1 troop-carrier variant.
The kit includes crisply moulded suspension and track components along with decals for period German unit markings, allowing an accurate build straight from the box.
A great subject for early-to-mid-war Wehrmacht dioramas, this Sd.Kfz.250/1 le.SPW Alte pairs well with Dragon's other German soft-skin and half-track releases.
