The Sd.Kfz.131, better known to collectors as the Marder II, mounted the powerful 7.5cm PaK 40/2 anti-tank gun on the reliable Panzer II chassis, creating one of the most numerous and effective tank destroyers fielded by the Wehrmacht from 1942 onward. Rushed into production after the shock of encountering Soviet T-34 and KV tanks on the Eastern Front, the Marder II combined a proven running gear with a gun capable of defeating almost any Allied tank of the period, and it went on to serve on every major front of the war.

Dragon's rendition of the Sd.Kfz.131 makes full use of the company's slide-mould technology to capture the vehicle's distinctive open-topped, lightly armoured fighting compartment and the long, slender profile of the PaK 40/2 barrel with a crisp, hollow muzzle. Crisp weld seams, correctly contoured gun shield plates, and finely moulded running gear give the model an accurate silhouette straight from the box.

The kit includes a full set of individual track links, photo-etched detail parts for the finer screens and brackets, and a comprehensive decal sheet covering multiple Eastern Front markings, allowing builders to finish the model as a specific unit vehicle.
