About this kit
In the final weeks of the Second World War, fighting raged in the Austrian Alps as remnants of the Wehrmacht, Waffen-SS and hastily mobilised Volkssturm units made their last stand against the advancing Allied and Soviet armies. Dragon's "Last Battle" (Austria 1945) figure set captures this desperate final chapter, presenting a group of German soldiers scraped together from what little remained of Hitler's forces in the closing days of the war.
Sculpted with Dragon's renowned attention to anatomical detail and equipment accuracy, the figures feature crisp uniform folds, individually posed weapons and gear appropriate to the ad-hoc mix of regular troops, older reservists and worn combat veterans typical of this stage of the war. Each figure is moulded in Dragon's fine, low-flash plastic for easy clean-up and confident assembly.
The set includes full instructions and is designed to work equally well as a standalone vignette or alongside other 1/35 Dragon vehicles and figures to build a complete "last days of the war" diorama scene.
Ideal for WWII diorama builders and figure painters who want an emotionally resonant, historically grounded subject beyond the more common early-war German figure sets.
