Dragon 1/35 Military - Sd.Kfz.251/16 Ausf.D Flammpanzerwagen - D6219

The Sd.Kfz.251/16 Ausf.D Flammpanzerwagen was a specialist variant of the German Wehrmacht's ubiquitous medium armoured half-track, converted to carry twin remote-controlled flame projectors mounted on the front mudguards and fed from armoured fuel tanks inside the crew compartment. Issued in small numbers to Panzer and Panzergrenadier divisions from 1943 onward, these vehicles were used to clear entrenched infantry, bunkers and close-quarter strongpoints where conventional weapons struggled to dislodge defenders.

Dragon's 1/35 rendition of this rare support vehicle captures the distinctive Ausf.D pressed-steel hull with its sloped, slide-moulded armour panels, along with the twin flame projector assemblies and their exposed plumbing on the mudguards. The interior fighting compartment is detailed enough to show off the fuel tanks and crew stations through the open top, and the kit includes Dragon's fine track for a realistic running-gear look.
