About this kit
The 3.7 cm PaK 36 was the Wehrmacht's standard anti-tank gun during the opening campaigns of the Second World War, seeing extensive service in Poland, France and the first months of Operation Barbarossa. Its light weight made it easy for crews to manhandle into position, but by 1941 it was increasingly outmatched by heavier Soviet armour, earning it the derisive nickname "Heeresanklopfgerät" — the army's door-knocker.
Dragon's 1/35 kit reproduces the gun with a finely moulded barrel, split trail carriage and gun shield, along with a crew of figures posed serving the weapon — loading, aiming and observing — to bring the model to life as a complete vignette rather than a static gun alone.
Fine slide-mould detail is used on the gun's mechanical parts, and the figures are sculpted with the personal kit typical of German artillery crews of the period. The set includes ammunition and crew accessories to round out the scene.
An ideal small-footprint centrepiece for an early-war Eastern Front or Blitzkrieg-era diorama, easily paired with Dragon's other early-war German vehicles and infantry.
