About this kit
The Leichter Ladungsträger Goliath was a small, expendable tracked demolition vehicle – barely half a metre long – remotely steered by cable to deliver an explosive charge against tanks, bunkers, or bridge structures before being detonated. German Pioniere (combat engineers) operated the miniature “beetle tank” from cover using a joystick control box.
Dragon's set pairs a finely detailed Goliath vehicle, complete with its distinctive tracked hull and cable reel, with a squad of German engineer figures shown handling, arming, and directing the device – a scene rarely covered by other manufacturers.
The figures feature Dragon's characteristic crisp uniform and equipment sculpting, and the small scale of the Goliath itself showcases the kit's fine moulding, making for a detailed and visually interesting centrepiece in a diorama.
