About this kit
The 8.8cm Raketenwerfer 43, nicknamed “Püppchen” (“Little Doll”), was Germany's attempt to give the Panzerschreck rocket a wheeled, shielded carriage for improved accuracy and crew protection. Firing the same 8.8cm hollow-charge rocket as the shoulder-fired Ofenrohr/Panzerschreck out to around 700 metres, it equipped infantry anti-tank platoons from late 1943 onward.
Dragon's kit reproduces the distinctive tubular launcher, wheeled gun carriage, and curved gun shield with crisp, finely moulded detail, capturing the field-improvised look of a weapon built from readily available components.
A crew of German gunners is included, posed loading and operating the launcher, so the set builds into a complete anti-tank gun team ready to be dropped into a Normandy or Eastern Front diorama.
Compact and detail-rich, this kit appeals to armour and artillery modellers looking to add an unusual, lesser-seen weapon system to their WWII German collection.
