About this kit
This 1/35 scale set depicts a German MG42 heavy machine gun crew of the type found in every Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS infantry company throughout the Second World War. The MG42's exceptionally high rate of fire made it the backbone of German defensive positions, and crews typically operated in pairs or small teams on the sustained-fire tripod mount modelled here.
Dragon has sculpted the crew figures in natural, functional poses - one man sighting and firing the weapon, the other feeding ammunition belts and spotting - with finely rendered uniforms, webbing and personal kit typical of Dragon's figure ranges. The MG42 itself, along with its Lafette tripod mount, is moulded with fine, crisply defined parts capturing the gun's distinctive perforated barrel jacket and receiver detail.
The set is supplied as an injection-moulded styrene kit requiring assembly and painting, and is scaled and posed to combine naturally with other Dragon German infantry and vehicle kits for a defensive-position or ambush diorama.
Ideal for figure painters and diorama builders wanting an accurately detailed German support-weapons team to anchor a WWII scene.
