About this kit
In September 1944 the British 1st Airborne Division, nicknamed "the Red Devils" for their maroon berets, dropped into the Netherlands as part of Operation Market Garden and fought a desperate nine-day battle to hold the bridge at Arnhem. Dragon's 1/35 Red Devils set brings this famous action to the workbench.
The figures wear the airborne Denison smock and para helmet distinctive of British 1st Airborne troops, sculpted with the fine wrinkle and equipment detail Dragon is known for. Separate heads and weapon arms allow builders to recreate the close-quarters fighting around Arnhem's houses and the bridge itself.
Cast in grey styrene with instructions and painting guidance included, the set is designed to scale alongside Dragon's other Market Garden subjects, including German defenders and period vehicles.
A fitting tribute to "A Bridge Too Far," this set appeals to modellers focused on the airborne battles of late 1944 and the wider Arnhem story.
