About this kit
This figure set places a German infantry combat unit in the fighting for Normandy in the summer of 1944, the desperate hedgerow and village battles that followed the Allied D-Day landings as Wehrmacht units tried to hold back the Allied breakout. The set typically depicts a small squad-level grouping in dynamic combat poses — advancing, firing and directing — rather than a static parade stance.
Dragon's figure sculpting renders individual soldiers with separately moulded weapons, webbing, helmets and personal equipment appropriate to a mid-war Normandy-deployed unit, giving painters plenty of surface detail to pick out in webbing colour, uniform shade and weathering.
Designed to complement Dragon's Normandy-theatre vehicle kits — Panthers, StuGs, half-tracks and soft-skins of the period — the figures let builders populate a full battlefield diorama rather than displaying an empty vehicle.
A strong choice for anyone building a Normandy 1944 vignette or looking to add infantry action to an existing armour display.
