About this kit
The Focke-Wulf Ta 152H-1 was a high-altitude development of the famous Fw 190D "Dora" long-nose fighter, stretched with a longer wingspan and fuselage and fitted with a Junkers Jumo 213E engine boosted by MW 50 water-methanol and GM-1 nitrous-oxide injection. Capable of speeds approaching 755 km/h at altitude, it was among the fastest piston-engined fighters ever to see combat, but Germany's collapsing wartime industry meant only a small number were completed and issued to Jagdgeschwader 301 for high-altitude Reich defence in the final weeks of the war.
Dragon's 1/48 Ta 152H-1 reproduces the type's elongated fuselage and distinctive extended wingtips with finely engraved panel lines, an accurately shaped Jumo 213 engine and cowling, and slide-moulded parts that capture the aircraft's smooth, aerodynamically refined surfaces.
A detailed cockpit, positionable canopy and decal sheet with authentic JG 301 markings round out the package, letting builders recreate one of the rarest and most capable German fighters of the war.
An essential subject for late-war Luftwaffe collectors, the Ta 152H-1 combines a compelling "last-ditch super-fighter" story with a genuinely striking, elongated airframe that stands out on any display shelf.
