About this kit
This set steps away from the aircraft itself to recreate the airfield scene behind it: the ground crew, tools and equipment that kept Luftwaffe day-fighter squadrons flying during the summer of 1940. It is designed to complement Dragon's Bf 109 and Bf 110 kits, adding the human and logistical detail needed to turn a single model into a convincing dispersal-area diorama.
The set provides multiple finely sculpted 1/48 figures in period Luftwaffe ground-crew dress and poses, engaged in rearming, refuelling and servicing tasks, alongside accessory items such as fuel bowsers, ammunition trolleys, tool boxes and other period airfield equipment. Dragon's sculpting renders uniform folds, headgear and equipment straps with the same fine detail found in its aircraft kits.
An instruction sheet guides assembly and painting of each figure and accessory, with suggested colour references for authentic 1940 Luftwaffe ground-crew uniforms and equipment.
An essential add-on for anyone building a Battle of Britain diorama or wanting to give their Luftwaffe fighter display real narrative context.
