The Junkers Ju 88A-4 was the definitive production version of Germany's most versatile World War II bomber, the so-called "Schnellbomber" (fast bomber) concept that aimed to outrun contemporary fighters. With a strengthened, extended wing and uprated Jumo 211J engines, the A-4 carried a heavier bomb load than earlier marks and became the backbone of Luftwaffe bomber Gruppen on every front from the Battle of Britain to the Eastern Front and the Mediterranean.

Dragon's 1/48 tooling reproduces the Ju 88's distinctive "beetle-eye" glazed nose and slender twin-engine airframe with finely engraved panel lines, using slide-moulded parts to capture the compound curves of the cockpit glazing and engine cowlings cleanly. The kit includes a detailed crew compartment visible through the extensively glazed nose, a hallmark of the type, along with underwing bomb racks and ordnance.

A decal sheet with period-accurate Luftwaffe unit markings and a full instruction manual are included to complete the build.
