Dragon Aircraft - 1/48 Focke-Wulf Ta152H - D5501

The Focke-Wulf Ta 152H was designed by Kurt Tank's team as the ultimate development of the Fw 190 line, stretched and refined into a dedicated high-altitude interceptor intended to counter Allied bombers and escort fighters operating above 10,000 metres. Fitted with a Junkers Jumo 213E inline engine boosted by MW50 methanol-water and GM-1 nitrous oxide injection, and a dramatically extended 14.4-metre wingspan, the Ta 152H was among the fastest piston fighters of the war, but reached front-line units of Jagdgeschwader 301 only in the last weeks of the conflict and in tiny numbers.

Dragon's 1/48 tooling reproduces the Ta 152H's lengthened fuselage and slender high-aspect wing with crisp recessed panel lines, using slide-moulded parts to capture the complex engine cowling and supercharger intake shapes without excess seam lines.

The cockpit, undercarriage and Jumo powerplant detail are all finely rendered, and the kit includes decals for genuine JG301 late-war markings, letting builders recreate one of the rarest and most technically advanced Luftwaffe fighters ever to see combat.
