About this kit
The Dornier Do 335 "Pfeil" (Arrow) was one of the war's most unusual designs, using a push-pull layout with one Daimler-Benz DB 603 engine in the nose and a second driving a pusher propeller at the tail, giving it exceptional speed for a piston fighter. The B-4 was a projected reconnaissance derivative of the B-series Zerstörer (destroyer) variant, stripped of offensive armament in favour of camera equipment for high-altitude photographic missions – a variant that reached only prototype and planning stage before the war's end.
Dragon's 1/72 kit captures the Do 335's distinctive tandem-engine arrangement, tricycle undercarriage and cruciform tail, moulded with the crisp surface detail and slide-moulded parts the range is known for.
Decals are included for appropriate Luftwaffe reconnaissance unit markings.
A great pick for collectors of Dornier's radical wartime designs, and a natural companion to Dragon's other projected Do 335 B-series variants.
