Continuing where Part 1 left off, this second instalment of Dragon's 1/35 scale AK-47/74 Family set turns to the 5.45x39mm generation of Kalashnikovs: the AK-74 and its side-folding AKS-74 variant, along with related derivatives that replaced the earlier 7.62mm-pattern rifles in Soviet and Warsaw Pact service from the mid-1970s through the Soviet-Afghan War and beyond.
Like its companion set, this is a dedicated weapons sprue rather than a vehicle or figure kit, moulded with the same fine attention to sights, muzzle brakes, distinctive furniture shapes and skeletonised stocks that distinguish the AK-74 family from its AK-47/AKM predecessors. Separately moulded magazines and slings allow each rifle to be posed to suit the figure it arms.
