About this kit
The M113 has been a mainstay of the Israel Defence Forces since the late 1960s, seeing extensive combat service through the 1973 Yom Kippur War, the Lebanon conflicts and numerous other operations. IDF units frequently modified their M113s in the field, adding extra stowage baskets, sandbag or applique armour, and locally fabricated fittings to improve crew protection and carry more equipment on operations.
Dragon's kit captures these Israeli-specific modifications, including distinctive stowage arrangements and hull detail that set the IDF M113 apart from the standard US Army configuration, all reproduced with the crisp slide-moulded surface detail and individual track links the brand is known for.
The kit includes a detailed hull and roof hatch layout, IDF-pattern stowage fittings, and a decal sheet for authentic Tzahal (IDF) unit markings and Hebrew lettering.
A strong choice for modellers focused on Middle East conflicts and IDF armour, offering a well-researched alternative to the more commonly seen US-configuration M113 kits.
