About this kit
North Vietnamese Army sapper units were elite combat engineers trained to infiltrate heavily defended American and South Vietnamese firebases at night, cutting through wire and minefields to place satchel charges against bunkers, aircraft and artillery before withdrawing or pressing home close-quarter attacks. Their stealth and demolition skill made them one of the most feared elements of the NVA order of battle.
Dragon's 1/35 NVA Sapper Team figure set reproduces this specialist unit with figures sculpted in the sparse combat gear typical of sapper troops — minimal clothing, wire cutters, satchel charges and captured or Soviet-pattern small arms — captured in low, stealthy poses suited to a night infiltration scene.
The set includes separately moulded weapons and demolition equipment sprues, giving builders the parts needed to assemble an accurate small team for a wire-breach or bunker-assault diorama.
A distinctive addition for any Vietnam War collection wanting to represent the NVA side of the conflict alongside Dragon's US forces figure sets.
