This 1/16 scale figure depicts a German Panzergrenadier — mechanised infantry trained to fight alongside tanks — during the Battle of Kharkov in early 1943, part of Field Marshal Erich von Manstein's celebrated counter-offensive that recaptured the city after the German collapse at Stalingrad. It's a large-scale character study of one of the mobile infantrymen who spearheaded that fighting withdrawal-turned-counterattack.
Built at 1/16 scale, the figure allows Dragon to reproduce winter and early-spring 1943 field uniform, webbing and weapon detail with a level of definition well beyond what's achievable in 1/35 scale, rewarding careful painting and weathering.
Instructions and decals are included, along with all parts needed to complete the figure.
