Dragon Warships - 1/350 U.S.S. Livermore Dd-429 Gleaves Class Destroyer 1942 - D1027

USS Livermore (DD-429) was a Gleaves-class destroyer commissioned in October 1940, one of the busiest US Navy escorts of the early Pacific war and Battle of the Atlantic era. Through 1942 she served on convoy escort and Neutrality Patrol duties in the Atlantic, screening troop convoys and hunting U-boats during the critical early years of the war before America's shipbuilding programme reached full stride.

Dragon's 1/350 rendition of the Gleaves-class captures the destroyer's distinctive flush-deck hull, twin funnels and five single 5-inch/38 gun mounts using slide-mould technology that reproduces the superstructure and gun houses as crisp single-piece castings, minimising visible seams on this display-scale model.

The kit includes finely moulded hull and deck parts, photo-etched railings and detail fret, and a decal sheet for authentic 1942 markings, letting builders complete Livermore as either a full-hull or waterline display model.
