Dragon Warships - 1/350 U.S.S. Arleigh Burke Ddg-51 - D1023

USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51) is the lead ship of the US Navy's Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers, commissioned in 1991 and named for Admiral Arleigh "31-Knot" Burke, the legendary destroyer commander of WWII. As the first of a class that remains in production today, she introduced the Aegis combat system, phased-array SPY radar and vertical launch missile cells to the US destroyer fleet, combining strong anti-air, anti-submarine and strike capability in a single hull.

Dragon's 1/350 kit reproduces the ship's distinctive angular, radar-signature-reducing superstructure and flat-faced Aegis arrays, along with her forward and aft Mk 41 vertical launch system cells, 5-inch gun and close-in weapon systems, all captured with crisp, slide-moulded detail.

Photo-etched railings and antennae plus a decal sheet for hull markings are included, letting builders finish an accurate full-hull or waterline model of this modern warship.
