About this kit
USS Hampton (SSN-767) is a Los Angeles-class nuclear-powered fast attack submarine of the United States Navy, one of the improved "688i" Flight II boats built with a strengthened sail and diving planes for under-ice Arctic operations. Commissioned in 1993, Hampton has served across multiple deployments including Arctic ice-exercise operations that highlighted the class's cold-weather capability.
Dragon's 1/350 rendition of this modern attack boat uses slide-moulded hull halves to achieve a smooth, seam-free pressure hull, with finely detailed sail structure, diving planes, propulsor shrouding and hull-mounted sonar array fairing reproduced to scale.
The kit includes photo-etched and decal detailing for hull markings and small fittings, giving builders the means to finish a crisp, accurate waterline or full-hull display model.
A good choice for modern US Navy submarine collectors or anyone wanting to pair a Cold War-era boat alongside Dragon's WWII surface fleet in 1/350 scale.
