The Italeri 1/35 Panther Ausf.D (90290) is a 1/35 scale model kit of the Panzerkampfwagen V Panther in its original Ausf.D production variant — the first Panther to see combat at the Battle of Kursk in July 1943. The Ausf.D featured the initial drum-style commander's cupola and was rushed into production before all mechanical issues were resolved, leading to high breakdown rates at Kursk. Despite this, it demonstrated the outstanding firepower and armour protection of the Panther design.
