The Italeri 1/72 T-62 (7006) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the Soviet T-62 main battle tank — the first production tank in the world to mount a smoothbore gun (the 115mm U-5TS), entering service in 1961. The T-62 served as the Soviet Army's primary tank through the 1960s and 1970s, seeing action with Arab forces in the 1967 and 1973 Middle East Wars and with Soviet forces in Afghanistan.
