The Italeri 1/35 Flakpanzer IV Ostwind (6594) is a 1/35 scale model kit of the Flakpanzer IV Ostwind — the single-barrel 3.7cm anti-aircraft tank used by the Wehrmacht from 1944. Built on the Panzer IV chassis with an open-topped hexagonal turret mounting the 3.7cm FlaK 43, the Ostwind provided armoured formations with mobile anti-aircraft protection against the increasingly dominant Allied air forces. Only 43 were completed, making this an unusual and historically interesting subject.
