The Italeri 1/72 Pegasus Bridge Glider Assault (6194) is a large 1/72 scale diorama battle set recreating the famous D-Day glider assault on Pegasus Bridge in the early hours of 6 June 1944 — the first Allied action of D-Day. Six Horsa gliders of the 6th Airborne Division landed just yards from the bridge over the Caen Canal, and soldiers of D Company 2nd Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry captured it in a surprise assault. The set includes glider and building components with period airborne figures.
