The F-14D Super Tomcat with its GE F110 engines and digital avionics was the definitive and final Tomcat variant, serving until the US Navy retired the type in 2006. Its distinctive variable-geometry swing wing and twin-tail silhouette make it one of the most recognisable fighters ever built.
