The Italeri 1/48 P-38J ETO (2834) is a 1/48 scale model kit of the Lockheed P-38J Lightning in European Theatre of Operations configuration — the twin-boom, twin-engined fighter-bomber that was one of the most distinctive aircraft of WWII. The P-38 was the only major US fighter in continuous production throughout the entire war and served in Europe and the Pacific as a fighter, bomber escort, and ground attack aircraft. The ETO P-38s are particularly associated with the 8th Air Force's long-range escort missions.
