The Italeri 1/48 RAF Spitfire Mk.IX (2804) is a 1/48 scale model kit of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX in RAF service — the most important Spitfire variant of the war, produced in greater numbers than any other mark. The Mk.IX restored parity with the Fw 190 after the earlier Mk.V had been outclassed, and went on to serve in virtually every theatre. Italeri's kit captures the elegant elliptical wing and Merlin 61 engine cowling of the Mk.IX in authentic RAF and Allied Air Forces markings.
