The Italeri 1/48 A-7E Corsair II (2797) is a 1/48 scale model kit of the LTV A-7E Corsair II — the US Navy's carrier-based light attack aircraft that replaced the A-4 Skyhawk from the late 1960s and served through the 1980s. The A-7E was significant as the first US aircraft to use a head-up display and one of the most accurate bombing platforms of its era. It served in Vietnam, Desert Storm, and numerous other operations. Italeri's kit captures the distinctive rotund fuselage and short wings of this capable attack aircraft.
