The Italeri 1/48 F/A-18E Super Hornet (2791) is a 1/48 scale model kit of the Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet — the substantially enlarged and improved development of the original Hornet that serves as the US Navy's primary carrier strike aircraft. The Super Hornet is around 25% larger than the original F/A-18, with greater range, payload capacity, and survivability. It replaced the F-14 Tomcat in the fleet air defence role and continues to equip US Navy carrier air wings.
