The Italeri 1/48 Saab JA 37 Jaktviggen (2785) is a 1/48 scale model kit of the Saab JA 37 Viggen — the Swedish interceptor variant of the Viggen family, specifically optimised for the air defence role with the PS-46/A pulse-Doppler radar and Skyflash/AIM-9 missiles. The Viggen family's distinctive double-delta configuration with canard foreplanes gave it excellent performance including very short take-off and landing capability to use roads as emergency airstrips. The JA 37 remained Sweden's primary interceptor until the Gripen.
