The Italeri 1/48 Tornado IDS (2783) is a 1/48 scale model kit of the Panavia Tornado IDS (Interdictor/Strike) — the swing-wing strike aircraft that formed the backbone of the RAF, Luftwaffe, and Italian Air Force's interdiction capability through the Cold War and beyond. The Tornado IDS was designed to penetrate Soviet air defences at low level and high speed, and in that role it was outstanding. It served in Desert Storm, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Libya before retirement.
