The Italeri 1/48 H-34 Pirate/UH-34D Marines (2776) is a 1/48 scale model kit of the Sikorsky H-34 Choctaw/UH-34D — the piston-engined utility helicopter that was the USMC's primary troop transport in the early years of Vietnam before being replaced by turbine-powered types. The H-34 participated in some of the first helicopter assault operations of the Vietnam War and the USMC UH-34D saw extensive combat. Italeri's kit captures this important transitional helicopter with USMC Vietnam markings.
