The Italeri 1/48 V-22 Osprey (2622) is a 1/48 scale model kit of the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey — the revolutionary tiltrotor aircraft that combines helicopter vertical take-off and landing capability with fixed-wing aircraft cruise performance. The Osprey tilts its large prop-rotors forward for fixed-wing cruise flight at speeds and altitudes impossible for helicopters, then tilts them upward for vertical take-off and landing. It serves with the USMC as the MV-22B and USAF as the CV-22B for special operations.
