The Italeri 1/32 MC 202 Folgore (2518) is a large-scale 1/32 model kit of the Macchi C.202 Folgore — the liquid-cooled inline-engined Italian fighter that represented a significant improvement over the radial-engined MC.200. The Folgore (Lightning) was powered by the Alfa Romeo RA.1000 RC.41 (a licence-built Daimler-Benz DB 601), giving it far better performance than earlier Italian fighters. It served across the Mediterranean theatre and is considered one of Italy's better WWII fighters.
