The Italeri 1/35 Sd.Kfz.184 Elefant (211) is a 1/35 scale model kit of the Elefant (Ferdinand) — Germany's largest and most heavily armoured tank destroyer, armed with the devastating 8.8cm PaK 43 and protected by 200mm of frontal armour. Only 91 were built for the Battle of Kursk in 1943, where their lack of defensive machine guns and mechanical complexity led to heavy losses despite their combat power. The survivors were later modified and designated Elefant. An imposing and historically fascinating subject.
