The Italeri 1/72 McDonnell Douglas RF-4C/E Phantom II (1477) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the RF-4C and RF-4E — the dedicated reconnaissance variants of the Phantom II with camera and electronic intelligence equipment replacing the gun in the extended nose. The RF-4C served the USAF and the RF-4E was the export reconnaissance Phantom used by Germany, Greece, Turkey, Japan, and Iran. These reconnaissance Phantoms provided vital tactical and strategic intelligence throughout their Cold War service lives.
