The Italeri 1/72 SM.79 Sparviero (1412) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 — Italy's outstanding WWII torpedo bomber with its distinctive three-engine humpback design. The SM.79 was one of the most effective torpedo bombers of the war, causing significant losses to Allied shipping in the Mediterranean with its daring low-level attacks. Even at 1/72 scale, the three engines and characteristic hump fuselage make this one of the most recognisable Italian aircraft of WWII.
